Frannie Lindsay’s first book of poems, Where She Always Was, was selected by J. D. McClatchy as the 2004 recipient of the May Swenson Award sponsored by Utah State University Press. She has been awarded fellowships from the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. Lindsay holds an MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, has been awarded residencies at the MacDowell and Millay Colonies, and at Yaddo, and is also a classical pianist.
